Lenax Oy and U-design were chosen as the winners of IDEARACE 2022

The final of the IDEARACE business idea competition was held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. The event was held at Finnkino IsoKristiina and attracted a large audience. The event was co-organized with LUTES (LUT Entrepreneurship Society). 
In the finals, 11 teams pitched their business idea to the judges and the audience. The jury consisted of Antti Pellinen from FiBAN, Ville Huhtanen from OP South Karelia, Anna Vuorio from LUT University and Timo-Jussi Talsi from Rantalainen. In addition to the pitches, Andreas Saari held an impressive keynote at the event. The event was hosted by Walid O El. Cheikh and Riikka Keskitalo. 
The winner of the Open category was Lenax Oy with Projix Pointer business idea, a construction tool that reduces construction errors. Business Mill awarded the winner of the Open category with a prize of € 5,000. 
The winner of the Student category was U-design, which manufactures furniture made from recycled plastic using 3D printing. In addition, Turfi, which develops the tourism industry, was awarded as the audience favorite. 
The winner of the Student category was awarded by € 5,000 cash prize. The prize was offered by LAB (€ 3,500), TEK (€ 1,000), and Pohjola Insurance (€ 500). OP South Karelia also awarded the winner with free basic banking services of the year and by offering assistance in financing planning. In addition, Rantalainen offered the winner of the Student category a start-up package and a € 500 gift card for DataGroup. 
Other partners in the event 
To encourage business start-ups, Assi Group awarded all finalist teams with a 4-month license to the CoWorking community workspace. Ship Startup Festival rewarded all finalists with event tickets. Pohjola Insurance granted a diploma to the most advanced team in the competition, the GaaliVert team.
